In this episode, Katie explores the connection between stress management, creative thinking, and setting boundaries. When we are stressed out it inhibits our creative thinking by putting the brain in survival mode. However, being able to think creatively is essential for reducing stress. It’s what gets us out of sticky situations!
Regularly challenging ourselves to think creatively in everyday situations can lead to alternative solutions during times of high stress. Learning how to brainstorm with others or ask for help in stressful times can increase our ability to be creative when we can’t think clearly. You are not alone and training yourself to remember that is key.
Reflect on what your stress triggers are and how you can develop creative stress management habits to create better balance in your life. Get used to thinking creatively in everyday smaller stressful situations so you know how to respond with the bigger stressful situations.
