Have you ever felt like your relationship is kinda stuck? Day in and day out it feels the same and you both respond more out of habit than mindful of what you are saying or doing. Well, guess what? It’s totally normal! But don’t worry, because just like how springtime brings new flowers and fresh air, you can also make your relationship feel new again. In this week’s episode of The Balance Code Podcast, I’m sharing how you can tear down the old and make way for rebuilding your relationship new. Here are three major takeaways from it:

Takeaway 1: Check the Foundation

Think of your relationship like a house. It’s built on a foundation of stuff from your past, like things you learned from your family or experiences you had when you were younger. Sometimes, these things can make your relationship unstable to begin with and overtime lead to things continuing to stay stuck and out of balance. It’s important to see where things might need fixing by starting with looking at the foundation of your relationship.

Takeaway 2: Say Goodbye to the Old

Before you can make things better and fix the foundation of your relationship, you have to let go of the stuff that’s not working. Maybe there are things that make you sad or upset about your relationship. It’s okay to feel that way! By saying goodbye to those things, you’re making room for better stuff to come in. Grief is a part of this process, and by grieving together, you make space for discussions about how you would like things to look from now on.

Takeaway 3: Making Plans Together

Now, it’s time to think about what you want your relationship to be like. Instead of just thinking about what you want, it’s important to talk with the you partner and make plans together. This way, you both know what to expect and can work towards making things awesome. The important thing is you need to be clear on your dreams for your relationship and be willing to listen to your partner’s dreams too.

Let’s Build Something Better

Rebuilding your relationship doesn’t have to feel so lonely, and it certainly doesn’t have to be something you do alone. If you’re ready to make your relationship better, there’s a powerful program starting in April for you called the REBUILD Program that can help. It’s like having a weekly guide (ME!) to show you how to make your relationship stronger and happier. So, if you’re feeling stuck and want things to change, check out the info on the program HERE. I would love to have you join!

In the end, remember that it’s okay to want to make your relationship better and sometimes that means tearing down the old and rebuilding your relationship. By working together and making plans, you can build something amazing. Don’t be afraid to take the first step towards a happier relationship because it’s totally worth it!
